The Green House Network, a Portland, Oregon-501(c)3
non-profit organization, is committed to creating the grassroots movement needed
to stop global warming.
The
Green House Network has no paid staff, but hundreds of active members across the
country.
Volunteer Executive
Director
Dr.
Eban Goodstein holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan. Dr.
Goodstein is the author of a college textbook, Economics and the Environment,
(John Wiley and Sons: 2004) the fifth edition to be published in 2007.

Goodstein’s current research focuses on the economic impacts of global climate
change, a subject on which he has spoken widely. Articles by Goodstein have
appeared in The Journal of Environmental Economics and Management,
Land Economics, Ecological Economics, Environmental Management,
The Rand Journal of Economics, The Journal of Developing Areas,
and The Review of Industrial Organization. His research
has been featured in, among other media, The New York Times,
Scientific American, Time, Chemical and Engineering News,
The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Economist, The American
Prospect and NPR’s Environment show.

Dr.
William Barnes
is an Assistant Professor of Business at the University of
Portland. His research focus has been on sustainable work systems. He holds a
PhD in economics from Notre Dame.
Indigo
Tiewes is
Board Chair. Indigo is a research analyst at Progressive Investment Management
and Portfolio 21. She helped develop investment guidelines for the fund and is
responsible for profiling companies under consideration for inclusion. She is a
graduate of the University of Oregon.
Dr.
Noelwah Netusil
is an Associate Professor of Economics at Reed College. Her
research focuses on the valuation of urban green space. She holds a PhD from the
University of Illinois.
Edward
Wolf is
Board Vice Chair. A free-lance writer, Ted has been the director of
communications at Ecotrust, and was a senior researcher at Worldwatch Institute
(1982-87) where he developed a lasting and informed interest in global climate
change issues. He has a bachelor’s degree in biology and environmental studies
from Williams College and a master's degree in natural ecosystem management from
the University of Washington.
Gary Tomchuk,
is Chief Executive Officer
at Ethical Marketplace, a new television series. Gary is a pioneer in the
Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) market, bringing together 22
years of experience in marketing, business development, technology and
management. He brings a vast network of strategic relationships developed while
heading Awareness Marketing, the consulting firm he founded in 1995,
specializing in the holistic health and natural products. Most recently Gary
served as Director of CSRwire, a corporate social responsibility newswire
service.
Volunteer Web Master
Ron Castle, a member of the Green House Network,
is a internet business strategy and search engine marketing consultant for non
profit organizations, for profit businesses and professionals on five continents. He earned his his MBA in international business from Pepperdine University. Castle has been active in land conservation and
environmental issues in Tennessee for almost 20 years and was the winner of the
2001 Civic Volunteer Award from the Tennessee Department of Environment and
